General Questions

• Is this group private?

  • The group is Semi-private at the moment. We will have the occasional public opening and afterwards, will be invite-only. 
     

• Where is the discord link?

• Do I need a DeviantArt account to join?

  • We prefer that you do have a DA account, especially if you plan on participating in eventsThat, and we'd love to see all your lovely art and literature in the group gallery!
     

• Do I need to be able to draw to join?

  • Nope! You can join solely as a writer if that is what you are comfortable with. However, we require all apps to have a full-body visual reference of your character. It does not have to be drawn by you, it can be drawn by a friend or commissioned but please be sure to give credit where credit is due.
     

• Are there Activity Checks?

  • Every four months, we will conduct an activity check to clean the group of inactive people. To qualify as inactive, you will have to have been absent from posting art or literature or even just chatting within the server within those four months.
     

• How active do I need to be?

  • It is entirely up to you!  Here at The Ridge, we give you the option of choosing
     

• Do I need to be 18+ to join this group?

  • Yes. This is an age restricted RPG and the group will have mature themes present throughout our events. If someone is found to be dishonest about their age, they will be removed immediately and put on our ban list.

• Will everyone who applies be accepted?

  • Whether or not you are accepted into the group depends on the effort put forth in your character’s application. We appreciate when applicants take time and put a lot of thought and love into their OCs, and we can tell! We are accepting a limited number of people for public opening. Unfortunately, we might not be able to accept everyone depending on how many individuals actually apply. 
     

•  I'm having a hard time creating a character. Where can I get help? 

  • We understand that there is quite a bit of information to read through and we know some of you might be stuck. Simply join the Discord Server and visit  either the "Character Creation"  or "Questions" channel. The mod team will be more than happy to assist you!

• Does my character have to be a monster or a hunter? 

  • You may have a normal human character if you wish. Please keep in mind that most normal humans are unaware of the supernatural and hunter society.

• Will Hybrids be allowed? ​

  • Only approved versions.

​

• What is the youngest my character can be? ​

  •  We prefer all characters to be 18+
