INTRODUCTION:

In the traditional sense, a Cambion is the offspring between a male demon and a human female… Do they actually exist? Perhaps, but just not in the way many think. What is a demon? Many consider Demons to be Malicious Spirits. What we know that are malevolent spirits are the wendigo… While many of them never reach a level of sentience required to even consider attempting to procreate with a person, there have been the occasional few.

Not that anyone even knows this; Cambion are either seen as mostly normal members of society or if their self control is lacking, as other wendigos. Cambion themselves always come across as a little bit odd to normal humans because their full emotional range isn’t genuine as much as a typical person’s.

DESCRIPTION:

Cambion in general lean toward their human counterparts in terms of appearance. There are a few things that may give them away, including the way their eyes glow when using their powers. Unfortunately for them, a cambion’s eyes also glow around certain things, typically the use of Druid Magic. A Cambion's eyes typically glow a harsh shade of yellow, sometimes red if the Cambion is powerful. Over time, and if their powers are used excessively, the whites of a Cambion's eyes may turn black.

Another aspect that sets them apart is their incredible strength and their lack of control of their abilities even from infancy. Many Cambion kill their mothers and as a result, themselves, while still in the womb. It is very clear from even before birth that cambion are not normal children.

BECOMING A CAMBION:

Cambion are all born from human females; there is no other way to conceive or create them, and a Wendigo must be involved. Because of this, the amount of Cambion in the world is incredibly low, to the point it is unknown if any currently exist.

SPECIFICATIONS:

All of the Cambion’s abilities are diluted, lesser versions of a wendigo’s, and while they also sport enhanced strength and speed, it is mitigated by the reveal of their glowing eyes. All of a Cambion’s abilities, including their enhanced speed and strength, have to be willingly activated; none of the things they are capable of are passive abilities.

Advantages

  • Enhanced Speed and Strength; Cambion can go toe-to-toe with pretty much any other species

  • Enhanced durability; a Cambion's tolerance toward physical attacks is increased. It takes a lot more force to bruise and break their skin with fists and blades and bullets.

  • Able to mimic other people’s voices after hearing them and can dramatically throw their voices as well

  • Mild shape-shifting abilities: Cambion can alter their hair colour and length, their eye color and some of their facial features- to strangers they could be unrecognizable but someone that knows them could likely figure out it’s them after a second or third glance

  • They are able to draw people to them through eye contact; it doesn’t have to be direct eye contact. Looking through mirrors and even through photographs and pictures can attract people to a Cambion

Disadvantages

  • More naturally susceptible to the pull of a Wendigo's influence

  • Excessive and/or misuse of their powers takes away from what little humanity they have

  • Egotistical tendencies that can and usually do get worse overtime

  • Psychologically and often physically never satisfied; almost how wendigos are constantly hungry, Cambion are never quite satisfied with anything

  • Powers must be activated manually, therefore exposing their inhuman nature

  • Naturally more susceptible to Druid magic; the magic also will reveal their inhuman nature, forcing their eyes to flare

Ways to Kill

  • Must shatter the atlas, or more specifically, where the skull connects to the spine.

  • Burning

    • If a Cambion is near their wendigo “father” upon dying, they may “re-merge” with them again

RELATIONSHIPS:

They don't have any.
